十年八年才一遇 大雪冷鋒襲雲城

温哥華近年很少落雪, 但在這里住久了自然知道每隔十年八年必來幾場超級暴風雪.
上次是 2008年11月至2009年三月整整一个冬季冰封雪飄連綿不盡, 謂之世紀大冰雪. 全部小街橫巷及行人道, 不論是車或是人都寸步難行. 有个朋友外遊回來, 的士司机在街口放下她, 她拖着两大行李箱跌跌撞撞慢如蝸牛「爬」回家的那一程路 畢生難忘. 市政府後來立例, 屋前行人道積雪必需各自在早上10點前清除； 有人把車泊在大街边, 鏟雪車經过往往把街边的汽車「活埋」. 欲把車子挖出來, 那些冰塊重若千斤. 現在想起猶有餘悸.
這幾年每年夏天都有人預言「今年冬天特别冷亅但事实都特别温暖. 當然, 壞了的鐘一天也有兩次顯示出正確時間, 說不定今年給他們說對了?
今冬首次降雪後結冰, 接着又落雪, 再結冰 ….. 大有重複八年前嚴寒的樣子. 好在這幾天凍而天氣晴朗. 前天一早起來窗外仿如白色童話世界. 趁着玉樹銀枝仍未退色, 趕快拍下這輯照片与大家分享.

A cold moon. It will be a cold winter ahead. 冷月通常代表寒冷天氣即將來臨.

Winter starts now. 冬季由現在開始。

First snow storm this winter. 今冬首場風雪, 雪落了一夜一日.

Someone has to go to work. 要上班的步行去乘坐公車.

Someone has the time to have fun with the kids. 有人与孩子們堆雪人, 有人忙於鏟雪.

Can’t tear-up the lawn now. Have some ice. 破壞草地的烏鴉只好食冰雪了。

Clear-up and freeze-up after the snow storm. 雪後天晴. 天氣寒冷但景色怡人.

Black and white. Beautiful combination. 黑白組合,份外嬌嬈.

Black and white and green. lovely trees in winter. 綠葉銀枝,條理分明.

Close-up look. 近看另有一番觀感.

Our own winter wonderland. 我們的白色童話世界.

Streets are clear of snow. 街道通行無阻.

Perfect natural Christmas tree. 天然聖誕樹.

Most sidewalks were clear by 10 AM. 絕大多數行人道都清理好積雪. 市政府附例發生作用. 各人自掃門前雪本應如此。

Side streets still OK. 小街積雪較多仍然車行暢順。

A treat once in many years. 温哥華落雪的日子不多,如此景色並不常見.

值得慢慢欣賞. It takes below zero temperature after the snow to have a scene like this.

Take our time to look and look again 氣温稍暖便無此畫面.

Once more. 有点人物化.

Nice day for a walk. 天氣晴朗雖然寒冷但出外行走才能欣賞到白色世界.

Local Library. 圖書館鏟雪也有点文藝氣息？

Virgin snow 銀白色一片未經擾動

Students added color to nature. 小學生在白色世界中加上了色彩.

Making a snow man. 堆雪人.

Kids just love a day like this. 白色兒童樂園.

Big trees 大樹壯觀,小樹好看。

Kissing the snow. 聖誕老人愛白雪？

There were somebody didn’t clean their sidewalks. 有幾家人未鏟雪.

則量師下雪結冰繼續工作. Work as usual .

Flowering tree is ready for Spring in December. 茶花在十二月已有花蕾; 温室葉上開花.
