Tsawwassen Mills 懷古新潮商場面面觀

稍為有點規模的城市必然有几幢百貨公司大厦, 分层出售生活所需各類貨物,首創一站式
購物消費場所. 温哥華市區以前有海湾 Bay、伊頓 Eaton、舍亞士 Sears、活活 Woodward’s 等大公司. 下层专賣男女衣服鞋襪手飾文具相机; 二樓小型工具廁器及廚房用品; 三樓棉被窗簾; 四樓地氈地板; 五樓爐头雪櫃洗衣機和电視音响. 再有集郵唱片鐘錶眼鏡咖啡小餐室. 後來更設有什貨果菜部等應有盡有. 倫敦 哈洛德百貨(英语:Harrods) 更連不應有的都有或代 客購買, 享有極高聲譽. 那年我們去参觀, 导遊說大笨象也可以落单order.
百貨公司興旺了100多年, 然後慢慢地給各類專賣店搶去不少生意. 上述温哥華四大百貨公司一半 已結業, 餘下的亦臨破產邊緣. 你我他早己不去那些大厦買电視电腦相机爐头雪櫃家居用品 等等.好在地產值錢, 破船仍有三斤鉄. 它們般出高樓在市區近郊起一层全天候大商場. 每個商場又有幾间大公司坐鎮其中(英語:Anchor Tenants) 像船錨穩住陣脚. 隨著百貨行業式微, 重量級專賣店 變了电子电視电腦音响, 户外活动用品,家俬,時裝等全國性或誇國公司, 各領風騷數十年 成為新世代一站式購物消費場所, 至今似乎方興未艾. 本拿比的 Metrotown 就約有二百萬方呎零售面積.大温哥華及鄰近城市這幾年有三大商場新張,強棒出擊轟動一時.

1. 摩根交匯直銷商場 Morgan Crossing Outlet Mall
Located in South Surrey, The Shops at Morgan Crossing is a vibrant outdoor shopping mall offering a unique collection of independent retailers, fashion outlets, restaurants, and cafés. Plus, ample free parking. 南素里這个戶外商場自称為直銷市場, 初時的确有人買到批發價時裝, 還說以後不用南下美國 掃貨了. 我們却無收穫. 店鋪与店鋪间之行人路及公众地方沒有上蓋; 商店樓上多层住宅单位 好似亞洲城市的上住下鋪格局, 對我們來說并無吸引.
2. McArthurGlen Vancouver Airport 亚瑟格兰名品直銷

3. Tsawwassen Mills 措瓦森大商場不用 Mall而用 Mills (磨坊)
Tsawwassen Mills is a shopping mall on Tsawwassen First Nations land, in Delta, British Columbia. The mall was built by Ivanhoe Cambridge and opened on October 5, 2016. It features 1.2 million square feet of retail space and an 1,100 seat food court. It features 200 retailers, including Bass Pro Shops as well as its sister chain Uncle Bucks, and Saks Off 5th. etc. 措瓦森原住民提供土地, 加東著名建築商爱達華劍橋設計營運的三角洲商場取名懷古, 与擴建中之 Tsawwsaaen Commons 也不用 Mall 而用 Commons (公用地方) 如出一轍富原始風味. 小鎮只有2萬人口, 商場却有200多间商店,佔地一百二十萭方呎. 何來顧客? 他們把大温哥華, 素里,白石約30萬人口, 又維多利亞及海湾小島, 美國等地顧客, 連BC省每年9百40萬遊客之百分幾 加起來就是很可觀的數目.
今天我們來看看這个大型全天候商場之藝術品和佈局:
